Questions for Con Hill Pals

I have been looking at the scrawled notes the I have made in class and there are a few gaps in the information I have tried to record. I am hoping that some of my Con Hill Computer experts may help me sort them out.

I don't seem to have written down what Winzip does. Is it a good thing to use? I must not have been paying attention to this one.

How does U Tube work. I think that you can send a video or movie you have made to U Tube so others can see it but is it then possible for anyone to look at it too. Is this right? I guess having the video on U Tube saves space on your computer too. Is this a better idea than buying space on Google Web Albums.

I have looked at facebook and do not like it much. Seems to be so busy and so many people sending strange messages. Does anyone else in our computer club use it and do you like it? Can anyone look at the things you put there?

I have received some things where the picture or image is not shown. Some have a 'show image' place to click on and they then appear but some don't. (Or I can't find it). How do you show the images then?

I have downloaded i Tunes and Quick Time Player seemed to come with it. I have yet to get an
i Pod or whatever to work out all of this. No idea what WMA files or AAC version is. Does anyone use a i Pod and down load their music. I have no idea?? Is Livewire used for music downloads? I have just written the name down but not sure why. I can't seem to get any free music there.

Bev tells me she has written down Limewire. That seems to be another thing I know nothing about.

My last problem is that I can't open pictures on my moble phone. Phone media can't send or receive. Do I need to contact Optus or is there something on the phone that needs fixing?

See you all Saturday.

Learning about blogs

I am so glad that Rajiv has taught us what a blog is and how to post comments.
My granddaughter is in kindergarten and her class has a blog where the children are encouraged to place comments and thoughts about questions her teacher posts. One question asks whether they think it is a good idea for each class to have a pet (they have a gold fish called sparkle). Another is whether they think that each class should have a blog and another about whether animals should be kept in a zoo. The comments that some post are great and family and friends are encouraged to send some too. The teacher monitors them before they are published. I asked her if I should post one too and she said yes please so I feel happy that I was able to find the site and add a comment too. Thankyou Rajiv. I would feel too unsure of what I was doing if it wasn't for you teaching us about blogs.
